Speaking about the new tariff plan, Mr. Leonid Musatov, Chief Marketing Officer of Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited said, “Our brand is build on the value, that consumers need quality product with a simple and honest price. The “One MTS, One India” is a simplified tariff and billing plan, and offers our customers the flexibility of talking at one price point across India. What you see is what you will get there are no hidden costs. We are already getting queries for providing on-net call discounts between our markets and are responding to this demand now rather than waiting until we have full national coverage.“
The “One MTS, One India” plan will be made available to subscribers across 600 towns of Rajasthan, 250 towns of West Bengal & Kolkata, 271 towns of Bihar, 262 towns of Kerala and 561 towns of Tamil Nadu. While the tariff plan of 35 paise per minute will be valid for a period of one month from the time of the recharge, the physical shelf life of the voucher is one year. The card can be re-charged both through easy recharge and on paper. As the voucher is currently for use in the home circle, customers on roaming will be charged roaming rates for any calls made to MTS or any other network.
MTS brand provides mobile telephony services in six other countries, and has a subscriber base of close to 100 million globally. SSTL is the only new operator to have licenses to operate in 22 telecom circles, covering the entire country. The company is going strong on a pan-India launch by September 2010.

Can you ever Send Free Sms online in India ?
A few years back. It was very easy to find a website to send free sms to mobile phone numbers in India.
Don’t give up.
We’ll tell you tat no one can give you sms for free as the operators charge for messages sent.
Most operators dont offer unlimited SMS as before.
The reason ?? Operators are finding out the users are avoiding calls due to free sms.
so they are deciding to charge for sms or put a daily limit on the no of free smses
Back to business
Some sites who have figured out a way to send free sms
Atrochatro
this website http://www.atrochatro.com/ is full of ads every where .. they just want to make sure they make more money than what it takes to send an sms.
heres what they claim
* Upto 4 FREE SMS Allowed daily
* CDMA Networks also supported in FREE SMS
* 150 Character SMS to Reliance (CDMA)
* 160 Character SMS to All GSM
* Service available to users Worldwide
* All GSM Networks including BSNL supported
* All CDMA Networks incl. Reliance supported
they place small ads in the free sms you send so that the user is tempted to respond to the ad after seeing your message. Cool concept
mklix.com
www.mklix.com offers a sms based social networking and group messaging features for free. they are also ad supported.
please share any other sites you know . we will update the list
