Vodafone India and IBM ink deal

CNN Money tells us that Vodafone India and IBM have signed a deal in which the Vodafone India will transfer all its IT work to IBM.

We see this as a cost cutting measure .

Might be Vodafone burned too much cash marketing the new brand in India ?

Vodafone already uses IBM to do its IT work in many other markets such as Spain, the Czech Republic, Australia, New Zealand, Portugal, Ireland, Greece.

Nokia to pump in more 75 million USD into india chennai plant

Nokia plans to pump in more 75 million USD in a manufacturing plant in Chennai, India.
The investment is to enhance the capacity of the plant to cater for the expansion of the Indian and other emerging markets, Espoo, Finland-based Nokia said today . The plant currently employs about 6,000 people.

Nokia exports handsets to New Zealand and Australia from this plant in addition to the indian market consumption
